About me

Curiosity across cultures, places, and forms of expression.

My path from China to Seattle and then Philadelphia has shaped my interest in identity, transition, belonging, and the ways people understand themselves within their environments.

How I show up

Warmth without pressure.

I try to bring patience, steadiness, and genuine curiosity into the counseling room. I do not expect clients to arrive with a polished explanation of how they feel or what they want to change. We can slow down, notice patterns together, and find language—or another form of expression—for experiences that may be difficult to explain.

I also value adaptability. Some people process through conversation, while others connect more easily through images, metaphors, movement, play, structure, or concrete practice. I want the work to fit the person rather than asking the person to fit one rigid method.

Creative attention

Photography helps me notice what might otherwise be overlooked.

Outside counseling, I enjoy photography and exploring different creative media. I am drawn to small shifts in light, texture, place, and season. That practice of noticing also shapes the counselor I am becoming: attentive to detail, open to multiple meanings, and willing to stay with what is still unfolding.
